“Where the redwoods meet the sea”

The House
The redwoods stand taller than ambitions here, and the Pacific reminds you how small you are — in the best way.
There are ten rooms. No grand lobby, no crowds, no queue at breakfast. Just the things that matter: deep sleep, good wine, quiet mornings, and the sound of waves carrying you through the night. Eleanor cooks. Marisol knows which trail is dry. Between them they have run this ridge since the day it opened.
Nothing is rushed. Everything is considered.
The Location
Two and a half hours north of San Francisco, Mendocino still feels like a secret. Dramatic coastal bluffs, ancient redwood forests, and a village that time forgot. We sit on a quiet ridge where the morning fog rolls in off the ocean and golden hour lasts forever.

Rooms & Rates
Rates move with the season, so we quote them when you ask rather than printing a number that goes stale. Every rate includes breakfast, the evening pour, and all taxes and fees — the figure we give you is the figure you pay.
One king bed, a deep bathtub, and the window wall the house is named for. Two guests.
Two double beds under the same ocean glass. The room for four, or for anyone who sleeps better alone.
One queen bed, a roll-in shower, and step-free access from the parking terrace to the door.
Higher up the ridge, above the fog line more mornings than not. One king bed, a private deck, the best light on the property.
The corner of the house. A king bed, a sitting room with a pull-out sofa, and two walls of water.
Reservations
There is no booking engine on this site. Ten rooms and a calendar that changes by the week are better handled by a person who knows the house — so call us, or write, and we’ll answer properly. If you’d rather not wait for us to open, our reservation system is open to AI assistants around the clock.

A letter every few weeks: what’s on the table, which trails are dry, and the quiet weeks we’d rather fill with you than with nobody.
